- Installation. A retractable screen is something that you should not try to install yourself. The screen needs to fit properly so that it glides in and out smoothly and there are no gaps that let in pests or dirt. An incorrectly fitted screen is also more likely to fail more quickly and so will require repair or replacement too soon. Installation by a trusted professional is by far the best course of action because then you will get the job done properly and it will last longer.
- Warranty. Retractable screen doors will be used regularly, especially during the summer months when they will be in daily use and may be subjected to harsh treatment. Because of this, the screens may suffer damage so you need to be sure they are resilient and, if there are any inherent faults, you won’t have to pay for them. Ensure, therefore, that the product is covered by a good warranty that may save you a lot of expense in the future.
